Grand Bahama Golf

Three premium courses to choose from in Grand Bahama

Golfers have three premium courses to choose from in Grand Bahama–and sometimes a fourth–each one presenting a different set of challenges. The famous duo of Dick Wilson and Joe Lee designed and built two of them: the superb nine-hole Fortune Hills Golf and Country Club on East Sunrise Hwy (you can play the course twice from different tees) and the challenging 18-hole Ruby on West Sunrise Hwy. The Reef, a links-style course, was designed by another famous architect-builder duo, Robert Trent Jones and Ty Butler. It’s located on Sea Horse Rd. The Lucayan, another beauty by Wilson and Lee, is open only part time this summer and fall, so call ahead.

The nine-hole gem at the Fortune Hills Golf and Country Club on East Sunrise Hwy is a favourite among visitors. It exudes the friendly atmosphere of a members’ club but is also open to the public–as are all the courses on Grand Bahama.

The 18-hole, par 72 Ruby golf course was recently renovated by Jim Fazio Golf Design Group and is located on the north side of West Sunrise Hwy.
