Tucked away in a century-old Bahamian home is a restaurant for food lovers who want more than a memorable meal. Owned by a Bahamian and his Italian wife, Matisse’s artfully prepared Milanese-style cuisine is always superb, and the ambience is special. Prints by Henri Matisse grace the walls. A favourite spot for power lunches and elegant dinners. Outside there is a beautiful courtyard for year-round lunching in the shade or dining under the stars. Try the home-made spinach gnocchi with Gorgonzola and walnut sauce. The menu features pasta, pizza, seafood and meat dishes. Save room for one of the tasty desserts such as the warm chocolate tart with vanilla sauce. Tues-Sat 12 noon-11pm. Closed Sun and Mon. Private rooms for meetings or parties. Reservations for dinner strongly suggested.
